MERICS
Berlin
Germany
Inspired by the excellent book “The Long Game – How the Chinese negotiate with India” by MERICS Senior Fellow Vijay Gokhale, we brought together a panel of leading China practitioners who have first-hand experience in negotiating with Chinese counterparts in politics and business.
Along with Vijay Gokhale, former Foreign Secretary of India and former Ambassador to China and Germany, we were delighted to also welcome and discuss with Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, former Secretary-General of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former Ambassador to China and Germany, William Klein, Consulting Partner at FGS Global, Charles Parton, MERICS Senior Associate Fellow with 37 years of experience in the UK diplomatic service, Sabine Stricker-Kellerer, Attorney at Law at SSK Asia with over 30 years experience advising European companies on legal aspects of doing business in China, and Abigaël Vasselier, Deputy Head of the Division Asia and Pacific at the European External Action Service.
This event was by invitation only for MERICS Members, peers and key stakeholders.
